CELENTANO'S
GLASGOW
Celentano's, the restaurant at Arthouse Glasgow, takes a stripped back bistro approach, designed to feel immediately welcoming and to sit naturally alongside the wider hotel. Reclaimed timber flooring, duo tone walls in soft butter yellow and warm white, and exposed brickwork allow elements of the building's original fabric to remain visible throughout, setting a relaxed, unfussy backdrop for the room.
At its heart sits a bespoke zinc topped bar, finished with a hand hammered edge and crafted by local metalworkers. The generous counter is lined with timber stools, while a bespoke back bar, framed by vintage wall lights, forms a refined yet distinctive backdrop for the space. Walnut bistro tables and teak seating continue the material language throughout the dining room, keeping the palette warm and consistent from bar to table.
Decoration is deliberately kept to a minimum, allowing the material palette to take precedence. Bespoke hammered metal shelving echoes the detailing of the bar, while further work by Scottish artists continues the narrative found throughout the hotel, grounding the restaurant in its wider setting without ever feeling staged.
